So you will find in it samba schools and teachers, cultural associations, groupes that promote amateur practice... all providing courses during the year, or workshops, to anyone -or at least to amateur sambistas-.
Most samba schools and bands welcome new members of all abilities. So whether you have played or danced before or you are a complete beginner, you'll be made welcome.
However, samba, as a street dance, is not widely practiced in France at the moment, unlike samba percussions, for which many dedicated structures exist. You can learn and practice samba dance by three ways: dance schools (but they are few to teach samba as a street dance), training courses (where the teachers are often Brazilian dancers), and associations for which playing samba for carnivals and street events is quite the main activity.
