ENCONTRO'99
IN FRANCE

  2. This famous duet, with Rolando, born in Rio de Janeiro, and Luis Antonio, born in São Paulo, is now well known in Brazil, they met and started to share their talents in Barcelona, then in Paris where they finally set up. "Palais des glaces" during 4 monthes, United States and Brazil tour, "Zénith" of Paris with Gaetano Veloso, European tour, cinema tracks... their wide range of talents expresses itself here and there.

Interpreters of the best Brazilian musicians and singers (Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento, Gaetano Veloso...), they included in their repertoire the new generation of Brazilian composers (Tania Maria, Gonzaguinha, Rosa Passos, Joyce, Eduardo Gudim).

"Les Étoiles", did us the honour to be present during the whole week of the Encontro 99.

    Les Etoiles

  3. Vieussens company
  4. Gascogne Fifes and Drums. Talent, simplicity and generosity. For having met them in various occasions, and particularly during our residence in the "Florida" of Agen, we specially love the work he does.

Christian Vieussens, living memory of the traditions from his country of Gascogne, is clearly not a traditionalist who would be enclosed in his region. The oral patrimony he is defending and transmitting, is mixed with influences that come from other places. This evolutive way to take possession of the tradition, and to bring it towards new horizons, has to be compared to our way of practising samba, it encouraged us to bring this "present from Gascogne" to our European friends and to the Encontro audience.
